Influence of forest fertilisation on ground vegetation, humus and topsoil after forty years - a study on red sandstone areas in the Black Forest, Germany.

Summary

Forestry and site amelioration practices have altered in recent years. These changing paradigms are analysed on the basis of documents and interviews. The evaluation of past fertilisation trials in the red sandstone Black Forest will reveal the long term effects of forest fertilisation on ground vegetation and the humus condition of the topsoil.
